Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions page. Here you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about organising and running a school trip.

If you don’t find an answer to your question here, feel free to contact us.

Yes. Please talk to your Tour Organiser to find suitable dates to suit both parties.

No. There is no VAT in the prices that we charge. We operate within a scheme called TOMS (the Tour Operators’ Margin Scheme) which means that there is no need for you to pay VAT and then reclaim it. TOMS enables us to do that work for you!

Visits are included where stated.  Please discuss with your Tour Organiser if you wish extra visits.

Yes – Our all-inclusive prices include everything you need to ski including lift passes, ski hire with helmets and 4 hours of ski tuition per day. (Please note there is a supplement payable for those wishing to Snowboard – contact your Tour Organiser for more information).

No, except for ski trips and trips to India, China.

For our Ski Programme you will have a dedicated School Travel Representative that will be assigned to your group and usually travel with you to and from resort.

For India and China, you will be accompanied throughout the tour with one of our local guide leaders.

We can, but many schools tell us that they are already covered for school trips by their school/LA/Trust. If you are not covered we are able to offer you fully comprehensive travel insurance packages. Go to our Travel Insurance page for more information.

On initial examination, some quotations may appear to be cheaper, but when our total package is taken into account we are confident that we will provide you with a competitively priced, value-for money and professionally run trip.

We are happy to compare quotations for you, and we will match any like-for-like quotation. In the event this happens we will endeavour to price match your quote.

Yes.  As long as it conforms to European driving regulations.

All prices are based on a minimum of 20. For groups of fewer than 20 people it’s unlikely that we will be able to obtain meaningful discounts from our suppliers, and so this would be reflected in the prices we’re able to offer you.

For our Ski Programme. In order to guarantee exclusivity of your coach, 40 is the minimum number. If you have fewer than 40 your Tour Organiser will be happy to discuss options with you, including paying a coach-supplement or sharing transport with another group.

It is easier to keep track of costs when all your meals are included.  However, half-board accommodation provides greater flexibility, particularly with older pupils.

For our Ski Programme. All of our European ski trips include full board, for the USA and Canada, our trips include half board.

Typically the type of accommodation we use for our groups varies from 2 or 3-star hotels to youth hotels and hostels. We will recommend accommodation to suit your needs and your budget.

Yes.  We will liaise with the accommodation and restaurants to make sure all special dietary requirements are catered for.

We are dedicated to providing a wonderful experience to all children, no matter what their needs. Please speak to your Tour Organiser about your requirements and we will endeavour to accommodate them.

Use of the coach in the evenings is subject to European driving regulations.  We can work with you to create an itinerary to make this possible.  This may require an extra driver which will incur an extra charge.

Please contact us on our 24-hour helpline and we will do the necessary to get you moving again.

Yes.  As soon as your coach has been confirmed, we can pass this on to you.

Longer journeys often require two drivers, but with shorter journeys, two drivers will allow greater flexibility in the evenings.

Naturally, we take our groups’ safety very seriously. See our Safety Page.

All transport, accommodation and visits are audited to the requirements of the School Travel Forum (STF), of which we are an assured member. This should provide all the information that you or your Local Authority require, but if you have further paperwork we will be happy to complete it on your behalf.  You may find the School Travel Forum guide, Demystifying Risk Assessments, useful.

Inspection visits play an important part in the risk assessment process and are encouraged by the DoE. We are happy to offer such visits to the Party Leader (or their nominated deputy) plus one other adult.

We offer a 24-hour helpline, for your peace of mind. Our staff follow clear guidelines to ensure a fast and efficient response to your call.

As we incur costs from the time we confirm your booking and may be unable to re-sell your holiday, the following cancellation charges will always be payable. Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling excluding insurance premiums and amendment charges. These cancellation charges are payable by you whether or not you have already paid a sufficient amount to us in deposits.
