Getting to Resort
Our Coach Holidays
We offer a selection of pick-up points for each coach holiday. These are chosen carefully in order to make it as easy as possible for you to reach the coach. Around 4 pick-up points are scheduled in England for each trip, these include motorway service stations and at least one rail or coach station. If our pick-up points are not convenient, we recommend using National Express to meet our coach at Dover. Please note that we are unable to divert coach routes for individual families.
Please make sure you let us know where you will be meeting the coach. You will need to be at your chosen pick up point at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Our coaches will wait in the coach parking area at service stations. Arriving early will allow you time to locate the coach. Your booking information will have the name of the coach company which will be displayed on the coach. The last pick-up point on every trip will be Dover Eastern Docks. If you wish to meet the coach here, please follow the signs for the ferry terminal and the coach will be waiting by the DFDS or P&O designated areas.
Please note that heavy traffic, especially during peak times, might cause a slight delay to the coach. Please be patient, but do call us on our emergency contact number if the coach is MORE than 20 minutes late.
If you think you might be delayed and unable to meet the coach on time, please call our 24 hrs emergency team (the number will be provided at final confirmation stage) and they will be able to assist you and let the coach drivers know. The drivers may be able to wait for you, if not, you will need to make your own way to resort.
Own travel arrangements
If you are making your own way to resort, please let us know what arrangements you have made and when you plan to arrive at the hotel. If you require any assistance booking car hire, flights or transfers please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Making the difference between a good ski holiday and an EXCELLENT ski holiday is your Rep.
While you are on your holiday you will have the services of a trained and professional representative throughout your stay.
From the moment you arrive at the hotel, he or she will be on hand to provide support and assistance to you and your family. Your Rep will liaise with the lift pass company, hoteliers, and so on, to ensure the smooth running of your holiday.
Your Rep will also help with evening activities (subject to demand, availability and weather conditions). Please note the Rep cannot be held responsible for any problems with activities and cannot handle money on your behalf.
We usually only use carefully selected family-orientated hotels, which tend to be 2-3 star hotels that are friendly and comfortable and, above all, offer great value for money. If you want to know more about your hotel, resort and surrounding area please ask your tour organiser, look through this website or contact us here.
Our prices are based on families sharing quad or triple rooms. We will always do our best to accommodate you and your family in the best allocation possible, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee single or twin rooms and it is not always possible to arrange adjacent or interconnecting rooms. If you have any specific accommodation requests, we may be able to make arrangements for you but please do let us know in advance. Additional rooms or special rooming requests may incur extra charges.
Your Rep will advise you about the meal times and facilities at the hotel as well as attractions in the surrounding area.
Following feedback from our families ski lessons are no longer included in our packages but we will be able to refer you to the ski school where you will be able to book group or private lessons in advance should you wish to. By not automatically including lessons we can make our holiday packages cheaper and give you the choice whether you wish to participate in lessons or not.
Our ski holidays always include a lift pass for the duration of your holiday. Your representative will provide you with this before your first lesson. If you require more information about what areas the ski pass covers please call your tour organiser or speak to your Rep in resort.
You will have received a family information form from us when you booked your holiday. It is really important that you fill this in as accurately as possible so that we can book your ski equipment. Included in the package are; poles, skis, boots and also helmets. Equipment will be fitted by our designated ski shop technicians prior to your first lesson. The hire equipment is of good rental quality and is typically graded on the bronze category.
If you would like to snowboard or to upgrade your equipment to the silver or gold category then please let us know well in advance. We will provide you with a quote and make the necessary arrangements for you.
Helmets are now compulsory for children in certain countries, so we now include these as standard for all travelling members of your family.
If you are planning on taking your own equipment please let us know well in advance.
On your first night at the resort there will be a brief welcome meeting from your Travel Rep and then time for you to settle in and relax. Over the course of your holiday, your Rep will arrange some evening entertainment such as quiz nights and bingo, or excursions within the resort, such as bowling. There is no pressure to participate and we are always open to suggestions. If you would prefer to take your family out for the evening your Rep is on hand to help locate local cafes, bars and entertainment.
You will have received confirmation of your coach pick-up and drop-off times with your final confirmation.
On your last day at resort, we can normally arrange for a few rooms to remain available after check-out so that you have somewhere to freshen up and store luggage until departure time. Please ensure you collect your passport and other belongings from reception before you check-out and ensure you return the keys at the end of your stay.
We do not include insurance in our prices, but we do offer fully comprehensive travel and winter sports insurance for your family – please enquire at booking stage for the price. The policy is optional but it is a condition of booking that all guests have insurance that provides at least the same level of cover as the policy provided by us.
If you choose to take our Insurance we will provide you with a copy of the policy and a medi-card for each family member.
If there is a problem
If you encounter a problem, please discuss it in the first instance with your Rep. If it is not resolved quickly and to your satisfaction, please contact us during office hours and we will act to rectify the situation. We are sorry, but we cannot consider complaints after your return if we weren’t given a fair chance to rectify matters during the trip.
If there is an Emergency
Contact the relevant emergency services and make your Rep aware as soon as possible. If necessary, contact us using the 24-hour emergency number, provided at the time of final confirmation.
Please try to keep note of all calls, conversations and actions.
