The long season is perfect for groups skiing at Easter Marmot Basin is set amidst the stunning Jasper National Park, Canada’s biggest Rocky Mountain park, just 20 minutes south of the town of Jasper. The main ski area delivers a variety of trails as well as the unique chance to see some local wildlife.
Highest Base Elevation of all Canadian Ski Areas
The scenery is most spectacular in the winter, elks move through the lowlands and waterfalls are suspended, frozen in time. Marmot Basin offers more than 1,600 acres of uncrowded alpine terrain for every level of skier and snowboarder: powder, moguls, trees, alpine bowls and gentle slopes. The spectacular surroundings, variety of terrain and professionalism of local suppliers make this resort our firm favorite. The area has fine, natural conditions and queues are virtually unknown even at the busiest times. Jasper is particularly excellent for an Easter trip, with plenty of natural snow and warmer temperatures.
